Jorge Benuto Tree Service was founded in Portola in 1980.  Back then Jorge cleared land with hand tools and delivered wood in his 1967 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup that he paid $700 for. Jorge says that truck worked hard for many years, delivered hundreds of cords of wood and helped me get started in a business I truly enjoy.

Today, Jorge's business has the benefit of modern equipment which helps him provide better and more reliable service to his customers.  His one and a half ton truck is capable of delivering up to 3 cords of wood.  His 2 ton diesel truck is also capable of delivering up to 3 cords of wood but has a much heavier weight capability for other jobs such as clearing land.

In 2007 Jorge purchased one of the most efficient pieces of equipment in the business. The "Wood Processor" has the ability to cut, split, load and pile wood in preparation for sale.  This allows Jorge to keep up with the demand his customers expect of him throughout the year and particularly when it gets close to winter.

Jorge Benuto Tree Service provides "defensible space" clearing for residential lots as well as cord wood sales, delivery and stacking in the areas of Portola, Beckworth, Chilcoot, Loyalton, Sierraville, Calpine, Clio, Graeagle, Johnsville, Blairsden, Cromberg and Quincy.
